    Commercial Oven Repair FAQs

How long does it take for commercial oven parts to be delivered?

Sometimes the technician is not able to fix the oven without replacement parts. Depending on the availability of the spare parts, it may take a while for them to arrive. Cooper Fix is well stocked with common spare parts, meaning they can usually perform repairs on the spot. However, if the spare part is not available at the moment, our technicians will make sure it is ordered and that it arrives as fast as possible.

Who is coming to fix the oven?

At Cooper Fix, we send out the best and experienced technicians to fix your commercial oven. Normally one or two technicians will arrive at your business and inspect the appliance. After identifying the issue, they will let you know what the issue is and provide you with a quote. If you decide to continue with the repair, our technicians will proceed with fixing the oven.

Can the oven be repaired the same day?

Yes, we offer same-day service. As long as your oven repair technician doesn’t need any spare parts to fix the issue, you can have it fixed within the same day. Our technicians are always available for same day oven repair service.

Why does the commercial oven smell like burning plastic?

A burning smell from an oven can mean a very concerning issue. Do not ignore this, especially if it is accompanied by flames. Luckily for you, we know how to fix fans of all kinds of stoves. Get rid of the smell of burning plastic and maximize safety while preparing meals.

How much does it cost to fix a commercial oven?

On average, a commercial oven repair can cost anywhere between $150 and $400, depending on the issue that needs to be fixed and parts needed. For example, replacing an oven fan will cost much less than replacing a control board in a steam oven.

    Oven Maintenance Tips

    Clean the oven racks

Oven racks should be removed and washed in the sink. You can soak them in warm soapy water to loosen food particles and spills. Always remove the racks before using the self-cleaning feature to avoid warping.

    Clean the exterior

Clean the control panel carefully and gently with a non-abrasive cloth and mild detergent. The door panel and glass should only be cleaned when completely cool, with a heavy-duty degreaser.

    Replace the light bulbs

Use a simple 40-watt appliance bulb inside of the oven. Some models may require you to remove a glass cover to reach it.

Do not overload or crowd the oven

Do not use the oven as storage as you may forget items inside the next time you turn it on to preheat. Also, overloading the oven will decrease its performance and put you in danger. Instead of cooking too much at a time, try cooking similar foods together and stagger cooking times.

Inspect the door lock and the seal

The oven seal keeps heat inside the oven, and if they are defective, that can lead to heat escaping and make cooking a nightmare. Inspect your gaskets and door lock when you do regular maintenance, just to make sure you’re not making your oven work twice as hard.
