Walk-In Refrigeration Repair Service in Toronto & the GTA
CooperFix repairs the refrigeration equipment that runs walk-in rooms — condensing units, evaporators, piping, electrical, controls and defrost — for coolers and freezers across Toronto and the GTA.
This page is for the machinery rather than the box. If the room construction is fine and the problem is the system that cools it, this is where to start.

- Which room and what it holds
- Set point and current readings
- Where the condensing unit is located
- Any alarm or error code shown
- What the equipment did before it changed
One system, several rooms
A three-fan evaporator in a large walk-in. On bigger rooms and multi-room sites, one condensing unit can serve more than one evaporator, and a fault in one branch shows up as a temperature problem somewhere else entirely.
CooperFix traces the whole circuit — which unit feeds which room, how the controls are wired and where the fault actually sits — before touching a part.

Signs the Refrigeration Side Needs Work
- A room will not reach set point even with the door closed
- The unit runs continuously or short-cycles
- Frost or ice keeps returning after defrost
- Suction line insulation is iced or wet
- A contactor, relay or control is heard chattering
- An alarm or error code appears on the controller
- Two rooms fed by one system behave differently
- Oil, moisture or refrigerant loss is suspected
Room Fault or System Fault
A warm room can come from the enclosure or from the refrigeration system. The two are separated by measurement: room conditions, airflow and door behaviour first, then system operation. Reporting one as the other is how repairs get repeated.
How the Repair Visit Runs
- Map the system. Which unit serves which room and how the controls are arranged.
- Record conditions. Set point, measured temperatures and controller values.
- Check heat rejection and airflow. Condenser condition, clearance, fans and coil.
- Test electrical operation. Contactors, relays, sensors and defrost circuit.
- Measure refrigeration performance. System checks appropriate to the confirmed symptom.
- Verify and record. Confirm each affected room recovers and write down the readings.
Repair Scope
Depending on the diagnosis: fans and motors, contactors and relays, sensors and controllers, defrost components, drainage, evaporator-side or condensing-side components, a compressor or another confirmed refrigeration fault.
