Protect Product and Record the Condition
Follow the business’s own food-safety, pharmaceutical, laboratory, medical or operating procedures for product and temperature records. Move inventory only according to those procedures. Record the set point, measured temperature, alarm, time and any recent service or power event.
Do Not Bypass Controls or Safeties
Do not bypass a pressure control, overload, door input, defrost control, alarm or other safety device to keep faulted equipment running. If there is an electrical hazard, smoke, damaged wiring or another immediate safety concern, isolate the area according to site procedures.
