Commercial Fridge Repair Service in Toronto & the GTA

CooperFix repairs commercial refrigerators — reach-in, upright, undercounter, worktop and prep refrigeration used for chilled holding and preparation across Toronto and the GTA.

Prep tables and worktop units take the hardest life in a kitchen: doors opened every few minutes, warm product going in mid-service and a condenser breathing air from under the line. That is where most of the faults come from.

Have This Ready

  • Make, model and data plate
  • Set point and current reading
  • Which section runs warm
  • Door, drawer and gasket condition
  • How the unit is loaded during service

The condenser under the line does not get clean air

Refrigerated prep tables. A unit installed under a service line pulls in warm air, grease and flour all day. When heat rejection is restricted the compressor runs longer, the cabinet drifts warm in the afternoon and the fault looks intermittent.

CooperFix checks the ventilation path and the condenser before measuring the refrigeration circuit.

Signs a Commercial Refrigerator Needs Service

  • Product temperature rises or varies between sections
  • The cabinet recovers slowly after normal access
  • Frost restricts the evaporator or air path
  • A fan starts slowly, becomes noisy or stops
  • Condensation appears around a door or frame
  • Water collects near a drain or cabinet base
  • The display differs from a measured temperature
  • The unit is warm in the afternoon but fine in the morning

Intermittent Faults Need Measuring Twice

A unit that behaves in the morning and drifts during service is telling you about heat, load or airflow, not about a failed part. Readings taken during the busy period are what identify it.

How the Repair Visit Runs

  1. Record the unit. Data plate, application, set point and loading pattern.
  2. Review the enclosure. Doors, drawers, hinges, gaskets and product clearance.
  3. Check airflow and heat rejection. Fans, coils, accessible air paths and condenser condition.
  4. Test controls and electrical operation. Sensor position, controller values and components.
  5. Measure refrigeration performance. Where the confirmed symptom requires it.
  6. Document the result. Cause, authorized repair and post-repair verification.

Repair Scope

A door, drawer or gasket, fan, sensor, controller, relay, drainage condition, evaporator component, condensing component or another confirmed refrigeration fault. Part selection follows the model and the measured condition.
