Krowne Faults We See Most Often

No usable air path. A cabinet enclosed on three sides recirculates its own discharge air. Capacity falls and no repair inside the unit changes that.

Sliding door track wear. Doors pushed rather than closed wear the track. A door that stops half an inch short never seals.

Drawer slides out of alignment. A drawer that racks in its opening cannot compress the gasket evenly, and frost appears along one edge.

Ambient during service. A busy bar is a hot room. Equipment that holds at noon may not hold at eleven at night, and that is a capacity question.

Condenser blanketed with lint. Bar environments load a coil quickly. Access for cleaning is often the reason it has not been done.

Why the Symptom Is Not the Diagnosis

A Krowne unit that will not hold can come from the built-in installation, ventilation clearance, door or drawer sealing, ambient temperature during service, condenser condition, a fan, a sensor or the refrigeration circuit. The millwork around the unit is examined before the unit is condemned.

Each of those leads to a different repair and a different cost. Measurements and the equipment sequence come before a recommendation, not after it.
