Fagor Faults We See Most Often

Refrigeration built next to heat. A refrigerated counter installed beside a cooking line carries a permanent load. The unit is not faulty, it is badly placed.

Clearance lost after a kitchen change. A line rebuilt around the unit closes the air path that made it work.

Top section versus base temperature. On preparation units these fail independently and are measured separately.

Condenser loading in a working kitchen. Grease-laden air blankets the coil. Run time climbs first, temperature later.

Door gasket wear. Continuous service use leaves a gap, and frost shows where before a thermometer does.

Why the Symptom Is Not the Diagnosis

A Fagor refrigeration unit that will not hold can come from line position, adjacent heat, clearance, door sealing, condenser condition, a fan, a sensor or the refrigeration circuit. Where the unit sits in the kitchen is treated as part of the diagnosis.

Each of those leads to a different repair and a different cost. Measurements and the equipment sequence come before a recommendation, not after it.

What Helps Before We Arrive

• The temperature the unit is set to and the temperature it is actually showing.
• When the change started and whether anything else changed at the same time.
• Whether the unit is running continuously, cycling, or not starting.
