Walk-In Fridge Repair Service in Toronto & the GTA
CooperFix repairs walk-in fridge rooms — the chilled-storage rooms that sit between the delivery door and the kitchen line in restaurants, grocery, bakeries and bars across Toronto and the GTA.
On a walk-in fridge the product is the measurement that matters. Air temperature can read correctly while the product on the top shelf is three degrees warm, and that gap is usually airflow, loading or a door — not the refrigeration circuit.

Air temperature and product temperature are not the same number
An evaporator inside a walk-in fridge. Cold air has to reach the back of the room and return to the coil. Shelving pushed against the coil, boxes stacked to the ceiling or a pallet parked in the return path will warm the far end of the room while the sensor near the door still reads correctly.
CooperFix measures both numbers, then decides whether the fault is the room, the loading or the equipment.

Signs a Walk-In Fridge Needs Service
- Product on some shelves is warmer than the display reads
- The room takes hours to recover after a delivery
- Condensation collects on product or shelving
- Ice appears on a coil in a room that should stay above freezing
- A fan runs slow, rattles or has stopped
- The door drags on the floor or stays ajar
- Water pools under the coil or near the drain
- The unit runs continuously without reaching set point
What Gets Ruled Out First
Door and gasket condition, product clearance, return-air path, coil cleanliness and fan operation are checked before any refrigerant-side work is considered. Most warm walk-in fridge calls are settled at that stage, and the ones that are not are then measured properly.
How the Repair Visit Runs
- Record the room. Size, set point, product type and loading.
- Measure both temperatures. Air and product, compared with the controller reading.
- Inspect the door and enclosure. Gasket, closer, sweep, hinges and visible infiltration.
- Trace the airflow. Supply, return, shelving position and coil condition.
- Test controls and electrical operation. Sensor position, controller values and relevant components.
- Measure refrigeration performance. Only where the confirmed symptom calls for it.
- Document the result. Cause, authorized work and post-repair readings.
Repair Scope
Work may involve a door, gasket, closer or hinge, an evaporator fan or motor, a coil condition, a sensor or controller, a drainage condition, a condensing-side component or another confirmed refrigeration fault. Nothing is ordered before the cause is identified.
Who This Is For
