Koolmore Commercial Refrigeration Repair
CooperFix repairs Koolmore commercial refrigeration in independent restaurants, cafes and retail counters across Toronto and the GTA. Much of this equipment is bought for a specific display or storage job, so a call usually starts with what the unit is being asked to hold and whether that matches what it was built for.
Koolmore builds glass door merchandisers, upright refrigerators and freezers, undercounter and worktop cabinets, refrigerated preparation tables and back bar units. Cabinet type and product loading determine which components are checked first.

Glass Door Merchandisers
Single and multi-door display cabinets. Door heaters, lighting, shelf loading and fan operation are looked at together.
Upright Refrigerators and Freezers
Solid door storage cabinets with a self-contained condensing section.
Undercounter and Worktop
Low-height units in a service line, limited by ventilation clearance more often than by anything internal.
Refrigerated Prep Tables
Base cabinet and chilled rail, measured as two independent temperatures.
Back Bar Cabinets
Bottle coolers in licensed rooms with heavy door use and high ambient temperature.
Display Counters
Front-of-house cabinets where glass, lighting and air curtain condition affect holding temperature.
Koolmore Faults We See Most Often
Product loaded above the shelf line. A merchandiser stacked past its load limit blocks the air curtain, and the top shelf warms while the bottom stays cold.
Door heater and condensation. Fogged glass points at heaters, room humidity or a door left ajar, and each has a different fix.
Warm product loaded into a cold cabinet. A display unit is built to hold temperature, not to pull it down. Repeated warm loading looks exactly like a refrigeration fault.
Condenser loading. Dust and cooking residue blanket the coil. Run time climbs before temperature does.
Fan and drain faults. A stalled evaporator fan or blocked drain shows up as uneven frost and standing water.
Why the Symptom Is Not the Diagnosis
A warm Koolmore cabinet can come from loading practice, room conditions, door sealing, condenser condition, a fan, a sensor, an electrical component or the refrigeration circuit. On display equipment, how the cabinet is loaded is checked as seriously as the hardware.
Each of those leads to a different repair and a different cost. Measurements and the equipment sequence come before a recommendation, not after it.
What Helps Before We Arrive
- Model and serial number from the data plate.
- The temperature the unit is set to and the temperature it is actually showing.
- When the change started and whether anything else changed at the same time.
- Whether the unit is running continuously, cycling, or not starting.
How a Koolmore Service Call Runs
- Identify the unit. Model, serial, application, set point and recent temperature history.
- Review loading and use. Shelf loading, air curtain clearance, product temperature going in and door use through the day.
- Review the cabinet. Doors, gaskets, glass, lighting, visible frost or standing water.
- Check airflow and heat rejection. Condenser condition, fans, ventilation clearance and air paths.
- Test controls and electrical operation. Set point, sensors, measured temperatures and the components in the sequence.
- Report before repair. What was measured, what it means and what the repair involves.
