Prodis Commercial Refrigeration Repair
CooperFix repairs Prodis commercial refrigeration in bars, cafes and food retail across Toronto and the GTA. Much of this equipment is display and bottle cooling, where the unit is on show to customers, so appearance faults such as fogged glass or failed lighting are treated as service items rather than cosmetic ones.
Prodis builds bottle coolers, glass door merchandisers, back bar units, undercounter cabinets and upright refrigerators. Display equipment is assessed for both temperature and presentation, because a cabinet that holds temperature but looks wrong is still not doing its job.

Bottle Coolers
Single and multi-door bottle cooling in licensed rooms, working through constant door use.
Glass Door Merchandisers
Display cabinets where glass, heaters, lighting, shelving and airflow are assessed as one system.
Back Bar Units
Bar-height cabinets in the warmest position in the room, with the least ventilation.
Undercounter Cabinets
Low-height units built into a service run.
Upright Refrigerators
Storage cabinets behind the service area.
Display Lighting and Glass
Lighting strips, door heaters and glass condition, all of which change how the cabinet reads to a customer.
Prodis Faults We See Most Often
Fogged or misted glass. Condensation points at door heaters, room humidity or a door not closing. Three causes, three different repairs, and only one of them is expensive.
Lighting failure. A dark display cabinet loses sales even while holding temperature correctly. Driver and strip are checked as part of normal service.
Door hinge and closer on high-use units. Bar doors get pushed rather than closed. Closers wear, doors sit ajar, and the cabinet never catches up.
Ventilation in bar cabinetry. Millwork and kick plates close the air path. The unit holds until the room fills, then stops holding.
Condenser loading in a bar. Dust, lint and spill residue blanket the coil faster than in a kitchen.
Why the Symptom Is Not the Diagnosis
A warm or poorly presenting Prodis cabinet can come from door closing, heaters, room humidity, ventilation, condenser condition, a fan, a sensor or the refrigeration circuit. On display equipment both the temperature and the presentation are checked, because customers see one and product depends on the other.
Each of those leads to a different repair and a different cost. Measurements and the equipment sequence come before a recommendation, not after it.
What Helps Before We Arrive
- Model and serial number from the data plate.
- The temperature the unit is set to and the temperature it is actually showing.
- When the change started and whether anything else changed at the same time.
- Whether the unit is running continuously, cycling, or not starting.
How a Prodis Service Call Runs
- Identify the unit. Model, serial, application, set point and recent temperature history.
- Assess presentation. Glass condition, condensation, lighting, shelving and how the cabinet reads to a customer.
- Review the cabinet. Doors, closers, hinges, gaskets, loading, visible frost or standing water.
- Check airflow and heat rejection. Condenser condition, fans, ventilation clearance and air paths through the cabinetry.
- Test controls and electrical operation. Set point, sensors, heaters, lighting and the components in the sequence.
- Report before repair. What was measured, what it means and what the repair involves.
