Migali Commercial Refrigeration Repair
CooperFix repairs Migali commercial refrigeration in restaurants, delis and convenience retail across Toronto and the GTA. Migali equipment is common in rooms where the unit runs long hours in a warm space, so heat rejection and airflow are checked early on every call.
Migali builds upright refrigerators and freezers, undercounter and worktop cabinets, refrigerated preparation tables, glass door merchandisers and rapid chilling equipment. The model designation and the application the unit was bought for determine which components apply.

Upright Refrigerators and Freezers
Solid door storage cabinets in single and multi-section widths with a self-contained condensing section.
Glass Door Merchandisers
Display cabinets for bottled and packaged product, where door heaters, lighting and fan operation are assessed together.
Refrigerated Prep Tables
Base cabinet with a chilled rail, checked as two separate temperatures rather than one.
Undercounter and Worktop
Low-height cabinets in a service line where ventilation clearance is usually the limiting factor.
Rapid Chilling Equipment
Pull-down units where probe placement, load size and cycle choice change the result before any hardware is suspected.
Back Bar Cabinets
Bottle storage in licensed rooms, with high ambient temperature and constant door use.
Migali Faults We See Most Often
Heat rejection into a warm room. A unit rated for a normal service area loses capacity when it sits beside a heat source or in a closed alcove.
Glass door condensation. Condensation on a merchandiser points at door heaters, humidity in the room or a door that is not closing, and those are three different repairs.
Evaporator fan motor. Uneven cabinet temperature and localised frost point at circulation before they point at refrigerant.
Controller settings drift. A set point changed months ago by someone on the floor explains more warm cabinets than most people expect.
Door closer and gasket wear. A door that no longer self-closes leaves the cabinet loaded continuously and frosts one section first.
Why the Symptom Is Not the Diagnosis
A warm Migali cabinet can come from room temperature, ventilation clearance, airflow, condenser condition, a fan, a sensor, the control setting or the refrigeration circuit. On this equipment the room itself is part of the diagnosis, not just the unit.
Each of those leads to a different repair and a different cost. Measurements and the equipment sequence come before a recommendation, not after it.
What Helps Before We Arrive
- Model and serial number from the data plate.
- The temperature the unit is set to and the temperature it is actually showing.
- When the change started and whether anything else changed at the same time.
- Whether the unit is running continuously, cycling, or not starting.
How a Migali Service Call Runs
- Identify the unit. Model, serial, application, set point and recent temperature history.
- Assess the room. Ambient temperature, adjacent heat sources and ventilation clearance around the unit.
- Review the cabinet. Doors, closers, gaskets, loading, visible frost or standing water.
- Check airflow and heat rejection. Condenser condition, fans and air paths.
- Test controls and electrical operation. Set point, sensors, measured temperatures and the components in the sequence.
- Report before repair. What was measured, what it means and what the repair involves.
